Mitchel Falls!!!!

The morning, we woke up very early because we wanted to go up to Mitchel Falls. We had to drive 250 km, it took us 9 hours with lunch break. We passed trough rivers, big forests, we found a buffalo's skull so we relooked our bulbar and we finally arrived in the evening. As almost every evening, we did a nice fire and we had diner around it, we didn't play cards so we could go to bed sooner!!!!

The morning, as soon as possible, we had breakfast and we tried to work more than one hour( that was not easy because we really wanted to go). Before 12 o'clock we went to "Mitchel Falls", we walked a little hour and we crossed a river, this time by feet...

This place is actually well-known for its beautiful waterfalls witch have three pools and three waterfalls very close to each other. Nothing is special about the two first pools other that they are very nice, but the last one is the most well-known because it's the biggest one and from there it might have salties...

 

We could have swim in the two first ones but we didn't because of the rips, we tough that it was too strong!!!!

 

From those rocks, we ate something and we quickly got away to have a nice swim just below a nice little waterfall. We staid for a very long time and we really enjoyed it because it was really funny to swim with the rip, witch was actually strong. Completely wet, we lied on warm rocks and we tanned a bit until we came back to the tent for make a fire again. We went to bed pretty late once again and during the night, a little mammal had a walk around our tent...

The day after, we were awake at 6 o'clock, we had breakfast and we did the road once again to come back on the Gibb River Road...

 

Always with our Swiss friends and with our new lucky charm, we drove an hour in the palm trees forest!!!!

 

We crossed rivers and dirty billabongs with our dirty monster:

 

WWWOOAAOUOOOOOO!! I think, with that way, the car will get dirty!!???? ;)

 

We've also seen our first dingo:

 

 

After that, always in the dust and around beautiful landscapes we continue our road up to the camping. But something bad happened a couple of kilometers before the camping...

we got a flat tyre!!!! Fortunately an australian guy came to help us and we could put the new tyre thanks to him...

 

That is how finished our long day after the long way trough the Kimberleys...!!!!
