We are now really close to the Gibb River Road but we've got still a pretty long way to go there. During the day we spent almost all the day in the car, we drove for a long time and we arrived in a lovely place where there were a lot of boab trees and lots of rocks. It was like, 5pm and the sun was already behind the horizon so it was getting dark pretty quickly. We were in hurry and we eventually finish to put up the tent at 6pm. We spent a good evening playing cards and after that we went to bed!!!!
In the morning every things happened normally, i had a cold shower and i began to prepare the break-fast...
We went pretty early and drove an hour to go to Geiki Gorges (a place where we can see crocodiles). Arrived, we met French people and we spoke a bit with them.
During the tour we didn't see any crocodiles but we had a nice swim in the water.

An awsome "Big Red Tail"!!!!
After that walk we found a place where we could sleep, it was really cool because there weren't any people and there was a nice river just next to us behind a little hill... are there crocodiles????!!!!
Just before going to another gorge we went to Tunnel Creek, it was a dark cave with a lot of water, trails were very muddy so our shoes got very dirty. We could have seen crocodiles but i think that we did to much noise. Sometimes we had to walk in the water and around us heaps of bats were flying!!!!

The day after we wanted to visit a gorge witch is the best place to see crocodiles, but not "salties" just "freshies". Fresh water crocodiles grow up to three meters and "salties" are the biggest crocodiles in the world and grow up to eight meters...
i wouldn't swim where they are; )
Arrived to the gorges we just walked two minutes and our first crocodiles was in front of us, he was sleeping on the side of the beach and was not to afraid of us. Actually, there were heaps of crocodiles, some of them went away when we approached them to much but most of them stayed and slept quietly. When we went further, we saw that the river was completely infested...

We could approached them but i won't do it with the salties, as we will probably see ones up north in the kakadu national park ( where the film "crocodile dundee" has been made)!!!!

The only problem with them is that they were aways sleeping!!

GGgggrrrrroooooaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!! :)
